The End of All Things is now available on NetGalley. I can't wait to see what you guys think of it. It's a little different from my usual stuff. (Who am I kidding... I don't have any "usual stuff.") But I think you'll like it.
Above all, it's a love story... What else would you expect from me? It's a story of a journey, of adapting to a new world, and of finding strengths you didn't know you had.
When the story opens, Carly is very young and a bit naive. She's waiting amid the ruins for the world to return to normal. Justin is an ex-soldier with shadows and secrets. He knows he can't leave Carly behind to fend for herself, but he's going to have a tough time keeping their relationship on a platonic level.
I think you guys will like Carly. She's strong, even though she doesn't know it yet, smarter than she realizes, and she refuses to let go of the hope that the world can be an even better place than it used to be. Justin isn't so sure. He's a bit of a cynic when it comes to human nature. He's occupied with teaching Carly survival methods, but she may just have a thing or two to teach him, too.
I can't wait for you guys to meet Sam! Honestly, I think he may be my favorite character, but don't tell Carly and Justin. When Carly finds him as a puppy, he becomes her reason for continuing the struggle to survive when laying down and giving up sometimes seems like the more attractive option.
The kitten is Tigger. He's Sam's cat. Yes, you read that right. You'll see.
As you can tell, I'm sort of enthusiastic about this one. I'm looking forward to reading your reviews.
